Using Technology: Ch 1, Getting Started

Chapter one relays some pretty interesting information about the affects the Information Age and technology have had on our ever changing world.  The world is changing at a more rapid rate than imaginable.  The text estimates information doubles every 900 days.  Within a students 12 years of education information in the world quadruples.  This estimation alone should drive individuals to want to increase their knowledge and use of technology so not to be left behind in the info ice age.  Matter of fact the text recommends or rather demands people must become lifelong learners and willing to update their skills, knowledge, and experiences.
